An introduction: we are talking about one of the most beautiful beaches in Northern Corsica. Although, to be honest, it’s not just one but two. Yes, because, on the island of beauty, there are two beaches with the same name and located in different areas: Plage (de l’)Arinella.
Plage de l’Arinella
Bastia is located on the northern coast of the island beauty, near the Corsican peninsula. It is one of the main ports where ferries to Corsica dock. Starting from the port, take the T11 road towards south.
By car, it takes about ten minutes. Ten minutes and, following the road signs to Plage de l’Arinella, you will arrive on a long strip of white sand, with several facilities. It is ideal if you want to enjoy a day of complete relaxation or if you are spending a holiday with children.
Although the difference is really minimal, it is another beach located in another part of the north coast of the island. Plage Arinella, in fact, is not far from Lumio and Calvi. From Calvi, another of the main tourist ports in Corsica:
- Take the T30 to Lumio;
- From Lumio, follow the road signs to Plage Arinella.
The journey by car takes about twenty minutes.
Plage Arinella is real naturalistic jewel set in a bay. It’s a very small beach but, just for this reason, it will give you the feeling of being completely immersed in nature.
And so, Plage de l’Arinella and Plage Arinella are two different beaches even if the names are similar. Have you chosen you favourite one?
