Comics festival Corsica: an art that speaks to all people

How many are the ways to discover a city? Surely monuments, beaches and culinary specialties. But there’s another way to narrate a particular place: comics. And comics will be protagonists of Festival International de la Bande Dessinée of Ajaccio 2015, which will take place from November 27 to 29.

The festival

Comics are an extraordinary artistic and cultural form of expression. Because it has a very rare ability: to speak to different people, for age, culture and interest. This is the spirit of the festival.

There will be several exhibitions during the three days event. Exhibition that will take place in different parts of the city, where the authors will present and explain their works. The program is completed by album, signing sessions, meetings with authors, “concerts of drawings” (made of music and drawings projected on giant screens).

Since you are there

So, you will spend a couple of days in Ajaccio to attend this festival. It would be a shame if you don’t visit one of the most beautiful cities in Corsica: among the things to see in Ajaccio there are Napoleon’s home, Sanguinaires islands, the cathedral. Are you hungry after walking along the streets of the city? Well, you can choose one of the several restaurants of Ajaccio and taste the famous charcuterie.
