Open international d’echecs de Corse 2015: playing chess in Corsica

It doesn’t matter if you’re simple enthusiasts or veteran of chess: Corsica is ready to receive all the chess lovers coming from every part of Europe (and not only). Enthusiasts and experts will meet in the “isle of beauty” in October during the Open international d’echecs de Corse 2015.
The first edition of this event dates back to 1997 and it was a success. In fact, the Open international d’echecs de Corse became one of the most important (and above all prestigious) chess tournament in the international scene. An unmissable event for everyone who likes this game.
The challenge consists in 3 tournaments:
- One in Ajaccio, at Palazzo dei Congressi
- One in Bastia, at Teatro Municipale
- One in Venaco (a small town in the hinterland that can be reached from Ajaccio taking the N193 to North)
There will be 500 players from 40 countries: the perfect occasion to admire the big champions playing or to test your abilities as a chessplayer.
