For your next vacation in Corsica: better the east or west coast?

Corsica: visit the east coast or the west coast? This is a very common doubt among all travelers who have chosen the island of beauty for their holidays. A doubt that we can help you solve, since each is indicated for a different type of holiday.

East coast

Small and picturesque villages, as large as priceless natural regions, enchanting caves to explore, a beautiful waterfall and the enchanting Ghisoni: all this is the east coast of Corsica. Recommended especially for those who want to enjoy a quiet holiday, dedicated to traditions and nature.

And that’s not all: this part of the island also offers beautiful, enchanting beaches, such as Plage de la Marana, Lavilanella and Moriani-Plage. If you want to experience a holiday dedicated to the sun, the sea and to relax on beaches that are not very popular but unforgettable, you have found your destination.

West coast

The best starting point to visit the west coast of Corsica is the main city of Corsica: we are, of course, talking about Ajaccio. It is an ancient city, where there are so many things to do and see. And even in this case you will find beaches that will not make you regret your choice.

Starting from Ajaccio, you can easily visit, for example, the nature reserves of Girolata and Scandola, the inhabited centers of Porto, Piana and Cargèse, without forgetting the many beaches that open onto the Gulf of Propriano, small, special and sandy. The west coast is recommended for those who want to live a very varied holiday, with the possibility of passing from culture to fun and relaxation.

Have you chosen your favorite (and therefore your ideal type of holiday) between the east coast and the west coast? Once you have booked your place on one of the ferries to Corsica, the journey to the island of beauty can begin.
