Corsica: 5 (excellent) reasons to spend a holiday in September

Corsica in September

You are among the lucky ones who this year will go on holiday in Corsica in September. Excellent choice, there’s really nothing else to say. Why, you ask? We have at least five good reasons.

1. Climate and weather

Do you dread that it’s too cold for a plunge in the sea? Or that climate is not suitable to practice your favorite sport? From this point of view, you can rest assured: in September, temperatures remain pleasant in Corsica, rainfalls are minimal and the sea temperature is between 23 and 25° C. Can you imagine better conditions for a holiday?

2. Cost of stay

We have already given some ideas about where to stay in Corsica. It’s the same in September. But with one, significant difference. In fact, the high season is over and so the cost of hotels, B&B and camping is lower than in the period from June to August. You will spend a pleasant holiday and save money.

3. Ferryboat

This is, definitely, the best way to arrive in Corsica. There are fewer vacationers in September and you can book a ferry to Corsica at a good price.

4. Beaches

Here you can find some of the most beautiful beaches of Corsica. They are unforgettable places, there is no better way to define them. Beaches that everyone wants to see, and so they are always very crowded. But not in September, when you will feel the sensation that these ten beaches are waiting for you only.

5. The recommended destinations

These four reasons can justify a trip to Corsica in September. It remains only to give the last advice, in other words which are the best destinations of the island. In September, the best parts of Corsica are:

  • the north coast, if you like hiking, the small towns, the less-known beaches and the precious nature
  • the south coast, if you prefer laying on large and clean beaches
