Summer is forthcoming and you feel it. It’s time to plan the next holiday. And holiday, for you, means sand, sun and sea. Have you chosen Corsica for your vacation? Well, these four itineraries will allow you to discover one of the reasons for which its nickname is the island of beauty: the beaches.
Itinerary #1: the northern coast
For this first itinerary, the places to see are five. From east to west: Arinella, Algajola, Plage de Bodri, Plage de Lozari and Plage de Loto. With the exception of the last, which is located along the coast of désert des Agriates, you can reach all these beaches by N197 road.
The beaches of Corsican north coast are among the most pristine and wild in the island. They are recommended for those who want to discover idyllic little-visited landscapes.
Itinerary #2: the eastern coast
Castagniccia and Aléria are well-known places by the vacationers who want to discover the ancient traditions of Corsica and to visit the most authentic part of the island of beauty. But not only.
Because, in both cases, the sea is easy to reach. And you will lie on the beaches of Corsican eastern coast: they are several, sandy and recommended to spend a vacation solely dedicated to relaxation. All the beaches are near the N198 road.
Itinerary #3: the western coast
The “starting point” of this itinerary is Ajaccio, the main city of the island. From here, by foot or by car, you can reach:
- Isole Sanguinaires
These four are some of the most beautiful beaches of Ajaccio. But they are not the only places that you can visit: other wonderful beaches are Gulf of Lava, Liscia and Tiuccia. Since they are near Ajaccio, all these places are very easy to reach.
Itinerary #4: the southern coast
And now, the southern coast. Where the names of the beaches don’t need an introduction: Roccapina, Santa Giulia, Santa Manza, Rondinara and Palombaggia are, literally, legendary places. You can reach them by the N196 road or by the N198.
In other words, along the southern coast there are some of the most beautiful beaches of Corsica. Two cities from which you can visit these beaches are Bonifacio and Porto Vecchio. And remember: in Summer, these beaches are always very crowded.
