The things to see in Bonifacio are really several and will allow you to discover a wonderful city: the citadel, the marina, the aquarium, the Escalier du Roi d’Aragon… But the holiday is certainly not over. Because, now, there are three great day trips.
- The Strait of Bonifacio. Every day, especially in summer, several boat tour depart from the port of Bonifacio. In this way, you will see breathtaking view of the white cliffs that overlook the sea of the Strait of Bonifacio, between Corsica and Sardinia. Need some pictures?
- Porto Vecchio. To get there from Bonifacio, just take the T10 towards north, about 45 minutes and you’ll be in Porto Vecchio. A picturesque town renowned around the world for the beauty of its beaches: just for example, in Porto Vecchio there are Palombaggia and Rondinara.
- Sartène. A picturesque medieval old town built on the top of a small rocky hill, in the southern part of the island. The houses in the old part are granite and the winding streets are paved with granite. In other words, you will visit one of the most beautiful villages of Corsica. To get to Sartène from Bonifacio, it takes only one hour (T40 road towards north).
Now, you just have to plan your next vacation. And book a ferry trip to Corsica.
