Marathon: the running race par excellence in the city of Ajaccio

It is one of the main sport events taking place in Corsica. And, moreover, we are talking about the running race par excellence. In essence: on April 7^th, the 2019 edition of the Ajaccio marathon will take place in the Corsican capital. An appointment that you, great sport fans, surely will appreciate.

The marathon

This will be the thirtieth edition of the Ajaccio marathon, a sign of how much this event is, by now, very anticipated. Divided into competitive race and non-competitive race, this appointment is the right opportunity to enjoy a day dedicated to sport and a sort of anticipation of summer (and, maybe, you’ll find a great idea for the next holidays).

How to get

The start of the Ajaccio Marathon is in Place Foch. To participate, you must first book a ferry to Corsica that will bring you directly to Ajaccio or to Bastia. From Bastia, to get to Ajaccio you have to:

• Take the T1 road towards Bastia airport;
• Take the T20 road following the road signs to Ajaccio.

By car (which you can bring on the ferry), the journey from Bastia to Ajaccio takes about two hours and thirty minutes. We recommend you the car for another reason: you can, in this way, bring with you the equipment you need.
