The list of Porto Vecchio beaches is very, very long. Among sand beaches and little inlets, near this town on the Corsica South Coast there are some unforgettable beaches. Such as these six, absolutely the most beautiful of Porto Vecchio.
Baia di Stagnolu – Its name means “pond”. It’s a dream place, with white sand, and the color of the sea changes from turquoise to emerald. It’s no coincidence that the name of the locality is Golfo di Sogno (“Dream Gulf”).
Baia de San Ciprianu – It’s near Stagnolu. Baia de San Ciprianu is very large and the seabed is shallow: for this reasons this is an ideal place for a holiday with children.
Palombaggia – This is one of the most beautiful beaches in the South Coast of Corsica. Palombaggia is a long stripe of white sand, the color of the sea changes from blue to turquoise, it is surrounded by Mediterranean scrub and pines, little smoothed rocks emerge from the sea. This beach has only one flaw: during summer it’s always very crowded.
Pinarellu – Few kilometers from Porto Vecchio. It’s a long sand stripe surrounded by a pine grove. It’s a good place for a holiday with children, for relax, and for sports such as diving and snorkeling, even if seabed is shallow. In addition to this, on the beach there are several restaurants where to taste the Corsica traditional dishes.
Canella – It’s near Solenzara, on Corsica East Coast, about 50 kilometers from Porto Vecchio. This is the occasion for an excursion to see a white sand beach, perfectly half moon-shaped, surrounded by Mediterranean scrub, with clear water.
Rondinara – Among the beaches of Porto Vecchio, this is a real jewel of Corsica. Rondinara, halfway between Porto Vecchio and Bonifacio, is a white sand beach, protected by two promontories, with clear water. There is also a pay and display parking.
