To organize your trip to Corsica in autumn, we have already given you three great tips. To these, we want to add a quarter. Whether you are a true movie passionate and have chosen Bastia as possible next destination, it will give you that extra touch on your holiday. It’s the 2017 edition of Sea Art- Festival du Cinema et des arts en Méditerranée, which will be held from 7 to 14 October.
The idea of a festival focus on the Mediterranean cinema, was born in 1982, during the so-called riacquistu, a period of profound cultural revival of the island. The theme of the 2017 edition of Art Sea will be “journalism in cinema”: the great films, therefore, as a tool and method for telling and interpreting the great facts of the news that have marked the history of the Mediterranean and beyond.
Reaching Bastia is easy: it’s one of the main ports where you can take ferries to Corsica, well connected with several Italian ports, such as Genoa, Savona and Livorno.
When you will arrive, across a projection, a debate, and a presentation, you will could take advantage of it to visit Bastia, and see places like St. John the Baptist Cathedral, Governor’s Palace, and St. Nicholas Square.
